We also recieved a small review of the Doctor Who Bar from Brian here

They State "The first ever (EDIT - it was our third) #DoctorWhoBar was held tonight on Twitter and, judging from the participation, seemed to be a success. This week’s story was “Earthshock.” The crowd was made up of those who were quite familiar with it and those who were seeing it for the first time. Though the conversation never really wandered far from the story in question, it didn’t take away from the fun atmosphere.

This weeks DoctorWhoBar Story is... Earthshock!

We can reveal that in today's (26/03/2011) Doctor Who Bar Session, we will discuss and watch the Fifth Doctor's story, Earthshock.

Earthshock took the lead with 32 votes and with The Curse of Fenric coming in second with 24 votes.

Earthshock was originally broadcast on March 8th - 16th 1982 in 4 25 minute episodes.
The story, from the 19th series of Doctor Who, stars Peter Davison as The Doctor, Matthew Waterhouse as Adric, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa and Janet Fielding as Tegan.

The TARDIS drops the Fifth Doctor and his companions in the middle of an investigation into the murder of a team of scientists in an underground complex of caves. Deadly androids are patrolling the tunnels, but just what are they protecting... and for whom are they working?

So if you have the DVD stacked on your shelf, the classic VHS tucked away in a box, or even if you can watch online on sites like Seesaw etc. then be prepared for 7-30pm (GMT). Have a drink and some food and get ready to join in with the @DoctorWhoBar from 7pm (GMT).
You also may want to take in some of the information from the episode we watch tonight as starting next week before the next session, we will have the Doctor Who Bar quiz which tests you on your knowledge from what you think you know from the story. We'll have updates on that during the week.

So remember to press Play on your DVD, VCR, or online at 7-30pm (GMT) so we can all stay in synchronisation and discuss via Twitter.

You Last Chance to Vote!

Due to Popular Demand you now have to 6pm to vote from now on!

The Fifth Doctor Story, Earthshock, is currently in the lead in the Doctor Who Bar Poll with The Curse of Fenric coming in second. With only one hour to go until the vote is up and three hours until the latest session begins, your votes can be vital to what we all watch tonight!

Remember the Doctor Who Bar's Third Session starts from Tonight at 7pm GMT with the story being played in synchronisation at 7-30pm GMT.

DoctorWhoBar Update - Mentions and More!

Over the past week we have been promoting the Doctor Who Bar from every corner of the Doctor Who World.
We would like to take up this post to mention some of the things you have been doing to promote the @DoctorWhoBar ....

Firstly the hit Doctor Who fan site, Kasterborous, has given us a massive boost with a Special post on their website...
"Hey – have you been to the Doctor Who Bar yet? No?! The Doctor Who Bar is an ever growing group of Doctor Who fans who get together every Saturday from 7-00pm and watch episodes from the show’s past.
The USP here is that the Doctor Who Bar isn’t an actual, tangible Bar – instead it is an online group of people that all watch Doctor Who in the comfort of their own homes and then discuss it on Twitter as they watch!
Episodes (DVD, VCR or online) play at 7-30 pm, and then quotes, reviews, thoughts, ideas and general discussion take place in the Twittersphere using the #DoctorWhoBar hashtag.
After the episodes, the Twitter discussions then appear on the official Doctor Who Bar website doctorwhobar.blogspot.com and members of the group can vote for the next episode they wish to watch the following Saturday!
Sounds like a great idea, and there are just two days left to vote on this week’s viewing, with Earthshock and The Curse of Fenric currently leading the pack…
The group is also looking out for anyone who might be able to help out in anyway – contact them on doctorwhobar@gmail.com if you are interested."

We would like to thank Christian from Kasterborous for taking his time and effort to write out the post and give us a backing! Thank you very much!

The second big promotion comes from Who News. Who News is a spectacular Iphone, Ipad and Ipod Touch Application that brings your favourite Website posts including Life, Doctor Who and Combom, Blogtor Who and Us! Earlier today we were contacted by Paul from Who News and he was kind enough to add our blog to their news feed!
You can see that we have put their special banner in the sidebar, so please buy the app here, if you have an apple device, as it is a wonderful addition to your handy device.
you can visit the Who News Website here .

Loads of you on Twitter have been promoting on Twitter by Retweeting and sending your tweets, So please continue. We love all comments and feedback, it gives us a real boost and your views may even get mentioned on this website!
