Who's Matt?

Matt has appeared in Doctor Who since 2010 and he said at comic con 2012 "I love Doctor Who, it is the most amazing show to be a part of."

Matt Smith now more commonly known to us as the 11th Doctor didn't always want to be an actor.
Originally Matt Smith aspired to be a footballer, but spondylosis forced him out of the sport. He then joined National Youth Theatre and in 2003 became a full time actor. 

His first role was in the TV adaptation of Philip Pullman's 'the Ruby in Smoke' and he continued on in TV and Theatre. Before appearing in Doctor Who as the youngest Doctor Who ever he appeared with Billie Piper quite intimately in 'Secret Diary of a Call Girl'.

In 2009 he was announced as the new Doctor. It was a large announcement and over 9million people tuned in to find out who was taking David Tennant's shoes. Matt Smith's Doctor who he calls "Troughtonesk" first appeared in 'The Eleventh Hour'.

Matt Smith used his former football talents in the episode 'the Lodger' he is confirmed to play the Doctor at least until the end of 2013 covering all the 50th anniversary specials.

Victory of the Daleks

On Wednesday we are watching Victory of the Daleks a story which is perhaps only remembered for the introduction of the multi coloured Daleks. Ok I'll be honest, I don't like them, they scream blatant merchandising opportunity and the new shape isnt the best. But if you look beyond the Daleks and at the story it's a clever little tale set in the British nerve centre of command during World War 2.

Ian McNeice turns in a stunning performance as Winston Churchill and his verbal sparring with The Doctor are highlights of the story Let's not forget Bill Paterson's performance as Bracewell who hides a terrible secret even he's not aware of. It's also notable as Amy and not our favourite Timelord saves the day.

So join us for a story which perhaps needs a second chance and yes there are faults but hey no ones perfect.

Product Review - The 11th Doctors Metal Sonic Screwdriver

For this weeks review I thought it would be a good idea to review a product from the current Doctor Matt Smith and as I was looking through my bag a few hours ago I found his metal sonic screwdriver and tought to myself why do I have this in here...

It came to me a second later its a metal screw driver set. What impresses me about this product is how useful it can be when your glasses and other small items need fixing. The box it came in was sturdy and had a good viewpoint of the product. the pricing of it was a little bit expensive but if you want a screwdriver set and like Doctor Who than this is for you. The size of the product is a exactly the same as the one currently being used by Matt Smith. It comes with sound but its a little shaky. A better description of the product can be found below:
