Tonight in the Doctor Who Bar USA: "Black Orchid"

When the TARDIS lands at a railway station in 1925 England, the Doctor, Tegan, Nyssa, and Adric find themselves caught up in a mystery worthy of Agatha Christie or perhaps Margery Allingham. There's mistaken identity, a woman who looks just like Nyssa, a masked ball, a family secret, and a murder. When the Doctor's accused of the crime, the group must get to the bottom of these puzzles to clear his name.

"Black Orchid" was the first two-part story since "The Sontaran Experiment" and some Whovians would argue it is the last true historical. It always reminds me of another role Peter Daivson played - Albert Campion - and I half-expect Lugg or Inspector Oates to enter the scene at any moment.

The Bar will open at the usual time - 6:30 pm EDT - and we'll hit play at 7pm. I hope you'll join us for "Black Orchid."
